Quality & compliance
The paperwork, stated plainly
A blend that can't be documented can't be sold — not to a retailer, not through a registration, and not across a border. This page sets out which documents come with an order and what we can help you file.
Documents issued per batch, formulation or shipment · Requested with any quote
Status of this page — we don't publish a certification we can't evidence. The document set below is the pack we work to; each certificate will be linked here once it is in hand. Ask us directly for the current position on any specific document and we'll tell you exactly where it stands.

What comes with an order
Six documents cover most retailer checks and most border crossings. Which ones apply depends on whether you're buying concentrate or finished goods.
| Ref | Document | What it's for | Issued | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| CoA | Certificate of Analysis | Confirms the batch you received matches the approved reference — appearance, odour, specific gravity and refractive index. | Per batch | In preparation — specimen to be attached |
| MSDS | Material Safety Data Sheet | Handling, storage, flash point and transport classification. Freight forwarders and airlines ask for this before they accept a consignment. | Per product | In preparation — sheet to be attached |
| IFRA | IFRA conformity certificate | States the concentration limits the blend conforms to for its intended product category, against the current IFRA standard. | Per formulation | In preparation — certificate to be attached |
| ALG | Allergen declaration | Lists declarable fragrance allergens present above threshold, in the form your back label and registration file need. | Per formulation | In preparation — template to be attached |
| INCI | Ingredient (INCI) breakdown | The ingredient listing used on labelling and in registration submissions. | Per formulation | Confirmed per product on enquiry |
| COO | Certificate of Origin | Country of manufacture for customs clearance and for duty treatment across GCC borders. | Per shipment | Issued by the chamber of commerce on request |
Selling in the UAE
Dubai Municipality product registration
Cosmetic and perfume products sold in the UAE are registered with the authorities through the Montaji system. The filing is made by the licensed entity selling the product — we support it, we don't submit on your behalf.
- 01
Product dossier
Ingredient breakdown, label artwork, packaging specification and the safety documents for each SKU you intend to sell.
- 02
Label check
UAE labelling expects specific declarations — product name, volume, batch code, manufacturer and importer details, and Arabic content. We review artwork against this before print.
- 03
Submission
Registration is filed by the licensed UAE entity that will sell the product — usually you, not us. We supply the documents that go into the file.
- 04
Approval & renewal
Approved products carry a registration reference that appears in your retailer onboarding. Renewal cycles apply.
Guidance only, and not a substitute for the authority's own current requirements. Fees, timelines and required documents are set by Dubai Municipality and change — TBC at the point of filing.
How we work
What we check before a batch ships
- Batch matched against the approved reference sample by smell and by specification.
- Retention sample held for every batch, so a later complaint can be traced.
- Batch and date coding applied to finished goods before cartoning.
- Documents assembled per consignment rather than per year, so the paperwork matches the stock.
TBC — process detail to be confirmed and evidenced.
Request the document pack
Tell us the scent and the format you're considering and we'll send the documents that apply to it, along with what's still outstanding. We'd rather tell you what's missing now than have it surface during a retailer audit.
